Mac Sledge is a fictional character played by Robert Duvall in the 1984 film, Tender Mercies. One of my favorites. Through conversations with a friend of mine about the film I decided to design an album. In the movie, Sledge is a down-and-out formerly famous country-western songwriter. He's approached by a young band who would love to record an album with him and his songs via the record company, Aztec Records. 

I designed the album based on songs and themes from the character's life in the movie, including creating the Aztec Records logo. There are also a couple of very tiny hidden details which I like to incorporate in all of my fictional album designs.
